The 300
I'm sure by now that there are a multitude of stellar reviews of The 300. I also saw the film and would like to add my praise. The 300 is a fictional period piece that details the struggles of the little known cotton industry in Britain during the Industrial Revolution. This particular story revolves around a young girl named Margie and her struggle to convince herself that everyone around her is not crazy (her father especially). This plot may sound similiar to Record of the Lodoss Wars, and you would be correct in that assumption. The 300 mesmerizes with its computer generated underage textile workers, although it is highly apparent that a green screen was used for every last one of the shots in 'the country'. All in all, I loved the film, and I recommend it to anyone who found a lasting peace watching "The Creature Wasn't Nice" aka "Spaceship".

Grilling Log (Glog)
Last week I grilled twice and I count both successful. First, polish sausage. Simple, yet delicious. Next time I will watch them closer so they don't rupture before I pull them. They were still juicy, but could have been more.
Second, three "New York" Strip Steaks. I used quotation marks because these were not the premium. They were 3.99 a pound, but they turned out perfecto. Of course, they were med rare (real med rare). Luckily, there were three steaks, and only two of us (grown-ups) eating. So, I had the task of eating two whole steaks. I ate two mainly because I was so hungry, but also because I had eaten almost half of one of them before we even sat down to dinner (this is because I love the steak right off the grill). Also, I ate them two because while there is nothing like a hot, freshly grilled steak, a cold, refrigerated two-day old steak does not appeal to me even when I'm hungry. So unless I eat it fresh, it will probably sit in the frig. All together though, I wasn't too disappointed about having to eat two steaks.

I cooked pork
For those of you who have never enjoyed a pork chop, well, until tonight I was among you. (Although I should not say I never enjoyed them, but I generally thought of them as among the drier meats.) Tonight, I grilled a couple of pork chops on my antiquated charcoal grill. The secret was to quickly sear both sides then move the coals and cook indirect style until they were done. They turned out really tasty, especially after I drizzled them in lime sauce. I should have taken a picture, but I don't have any batteries for my camera. Also, I saw V for Vendetta.

Paper Cut
I got a paper cut tonight while working my 12 hour shift that prevented me from playing D2 tonight. It was the 12 hour shift that prevented me from playing, but the paper cut will not impair my ability to play in the future (near future). Also, I would like to say that I have been disappointed with gmail lately. Several very important messages have not been visible after they were sent or after I received them.
I began the part of my life where I am a pirate. I am currently an English Baron with several hundred acres of land on some very nice islands in the Caribbean. Also, I have discovered that I am quite the dancer and nautical strategizer. I will add this to my resume shortly.

Steak anyone??
I am just about to start up my grill/coals to cook a couple of New York Steaks that were on sale for 3.99 a pound, and I've got a couple more so if anybody wants one you should be here around 5:30. Also, I found this excellent recipe for a lime marinate at : http://www.gortons.com/cookbook/rec_26.php.
Well, I just figured out how to add images so I wanted to show you all what it would look like if I was cooking salmon and shishkabobs at my old house and none of you showed up.
